Three Days Phi Phi Island Itinerary For 2023

Visiting the Phi Phi Islands for three days; What To Do

Looking for the best Phi Phi 3 day itinerary for your backpacking trip or holiday on the famous Phi Phi island in Thailand? I have everything you want to know such as the best things to do and where to stay on Phi Phi.

Have you ever visited a place and couldn’t stop thinking about it after you left? That happened to me for the first time in Greece, but I recently experienced it in Thailand. I could never have dreamed a place could be so breathtakingly gorgeous until I spent three days on the Phi Phi Islands.

A Dream Destination: Spending 3 Days on the Phi Phi Islands, so let’s find out everything you need to know for your itinerary and best things to do on Koh Phi Phi.

How to get to the Phi Phi Islands

We flew from the DMK airport to Krabi after spending a few days in Bangkok. Our entire transportation was managed by the Arunsiri Travel Company. After taking a vehicle from Krabi Airport to Klong Jilad Pier, we boarded a ferry to Ko Phi Phi Don. A landing charge of 25 Baht is collected upon arrival at the port to help with clean-ups caused by over-tourism.

Villas, beach resorts and hotels on Phi Phi Island

We booked a Phi Phi Seaview Resort through for $25 per night for our three nights on Phi Phi. The villas are delightfully perched on a steep hillside amidst a natural jungle setting.

Breakfast is included, as well as a spectacular infinity pool with views of the bay, a complete bar, and a cafe-style restaurant.

If you have trouble sleeping, this is not the place for you. Because of its proximity to Tonsai Village, music is heard from approximately 10 p.m. until 3 or 4 a.m. every night. After speaking with a couple with children, they expressed interest in departing the island early because it appears to be more party-oriented than family-friendly (check out the Phi Phi beach resorts).

Day 1 of 3 Days in Phuket: Phi Phi Islands

Loh Samah Bay should be on the list for first-time tourists should include the Phi Phi Islands in their itinerary to see the incredible limestone cliffs that rise out of the pristine tropical waters. The Phi Phi Islands are roughly 46 kilometres from Phuket and require an entire day to visit.

You’ll have a great time island hopping and experiencing Phi Phi’s splendour because it’s made up of a collection of six beautiful islands.

You can get to the island faster by using a speedboat rather than a ferry since the speedboat will get there faster and save you a lot of time.

Furthermore, it is preferable to avoid going during the rainy season, which runs from June to October, as the availability of speedboats and ferries is reduced.

Do some research online and find a tour operator who will allow you to visit multiple islands on the same day. If you prefer a more peaceful trip, you can choose the nicest location and spend a few hours swimming and snorkelling.

Loh Samah Bay, Maya Bay island beach, Viking Cave, Pileh Cove, Monkey Beach, Mosquito Island, and the famed Koh Phi Phi Island are just a few of the prominent places you could see on that day.

A few things to remember are that you’ll need sunscreen, a hat, swimsuit, top snorkel gear, water, a towel, an extra set of clothes, and sunglasses. Also, ensure that you take good care of your belongings, as monkeys are known for stealing a variety of items.

Day 2 of 3 Days in Phuket: James Bond Island

James Bond Island, which is one of the most beautiful spots in the Bay of Phang Nga. It’s roughly 45 kilometres from Phuket, and the best way to get there is by speedboat or luxury boat, which you can book online.

The island rose to prominence after sequences from the James Bond film “The Man with the Golden Gun” were filmed there.

Secluded caves, captivating beaches, crystal clear water, and breathtaking limestone karsts will keep you occupied for the entire day.

Remember to bring your cameras so you can capture these special moments to remember for a lifetime. Muslim fishing village, Ao Phang Nga National Park, Panak Island, Ice Cream Cave, and Naka Island are some other places to visit.

You will be able to see some of the most beautiful sceneries ever at James Bond Island. A few sequences from the film “Jurassic Park” were also shot here.

You should bring your swimsuits, beach towels, sunglasses, sunscreen lotion, a spare set of clothes, and a camera if you want to have a good day.

Most tour companies offer real Thai cuisine for lunch, so make sure to ask about it before choosing a package.

Because James Bond Island is a popular tourist site, it is likely to be congested throughout the summer. The stunning sights, on the other hand, will undoubtedly make your journey worthwhile.

Three Days in Phuket: Day Three

Phi Phi to Krabi speedboat

There are various beaches to choose from, with Freedom Beach, Kata Beach, and Nai Harn Beach being the most popular. You can go go to the Nakkerd Hills to see the Big Buddha monument. At the base, it is 30 metres tall and 20 metres wide. Visit Wat Chalong, which is embellished with hundreds of tiny dazzling glass pieces, to see some of Phuket’s most stunning temples.

Evenings can be spent in Phuket Old Town, which is home to a number of temples, beautiful shops, museums, cafés, and other attractions. Visit the Blue Mountain Restaurant on Krabi Road in Phuket Town to sample Royal Thai food. If you are a stamp collector or philatelist, you should pay a visit to the Phuket Philatelic Museum, which is located on Montri Road.

Apart from the stamps on exhibit, visitors can also learn about the history of the Thai Postal Service and see some old equipment such as parcel-weighing machinery.

If you want to experience Phuket’s nightlife, go to Bangla Road in Patong Beach, which is transformed into a vibrant street. There are countless discotheques and go-go bars in this area, so go to any of them and have a great time.

Alternatively, you might go to the night markets and buy a variety of intriguing handmade products for a bargain. Visiting the local street food carts is the greatest way to sample authentic Thai cuisine. Several local performers will be performing dance and music on the streets during the night markets.

When booking tours or transportation, always go with a respected organisation rather than a random individual you encountered on the street. Alternatively, you can ask your hotel’s receptionist for assistance.

You must have a valid international driving licence if you wish to rent a car or scooter to tour the island. Also, if you do not observe all driving rules, you will be fined.

Because the temperature is hot and humid during the day, the greatest time to go shopping is at night. Furthermore, night markets offer low-cost goods, and food stalls are the greatest spot to sample authentic Thai cuisine.

If you plan on visiting the numerous temples, make sure to dress modestly and cover your head with a scarf or handkerchief.

Those travelling with children should avoid walking around Bangla Road in the evenings or late at night.

When withdrawing money from an ATM machine, be sure no strangers are in the vicinity. Always remember that in Phuket, the money comes out first, followed by the ejection of your card. As a result, don’t forget to remove your card from the machine.

Women travelling alone should avoid going out late at night or accepting polite offers from strangers. At night, it is best to take public transit to your destination.

After a wonderful three days in Phuket, you might try renting a car and travelling from Phuket to Bangkok, which is around 800 kilometres away and offers numerous stunning beaches and scenic scenery along the way. You could even stay in Chumporn or Ranong for one night in between.

The floating market, Lumpini Park, and Siam Niramit are just a few of the prominent Bangkok sights not to be missed. Following the aforementioned advice, you will be able to see some of Thailand’s most beautiful locations in a short amount of time.
