The Phi Phi Islands group is home to the majority of the excellent islands in the Phi Phi area. Many people refer to Phi Phi as a single island, however it is actually a collection of six islands. #1 Bamboo Island

#2 Koh Bida Nok and Nai

At the southern end of the Phi Phi group, Koh Bida Nok and Nai are two islets that may merely be limestone cliffs jutting out from the sea (Koh Bida Nok being the southernmost island in Phi Phi). Despite this, they are well-known among divers for their magnificent underwater sceneries, making them one of the most popular dive sites in the Phi Phi area.

On the northern side of Bida Nok, there is superb wall diving down to 35 metres, and somewhat shallower dives at Bida Nai, where you can see a variety of tropical fish species, corals, tiny sharks, and anemones.

#3 Mosquito Island

Mosquito Island, not far from Bamboo Island, is the Phi Phi archipelago’s northernmost island. Although it has two beaches, it is rarely frequented due to the reason for its name: swarms of mosquitoes infest the island, especially around twilight.

The seas of Mosquito Island are ideal for diving and snorkelling, and mooring buoys have been constructed off the island’s southern shore enabling long-tail boats arriving from Phi Phi Don to tie up while their passengers dive over soft coral reefs.

Divers may explore the island’s northeastern side, which has three-headed pinnacles that are frequently visited by schools of juvenile fish and blacktip sharks.

#5 Koh Yao Yai

The name Koh Yao Yai, which translates to “huge long island” in Thai, is a wonderful fit for this enormous stretch of land nestled between Phuket and the Phi Phi Islands.
