The best time of the year to visit Chicago is between June or September when you’ll find fewer crowds than in summer and better weather than in winter. Rates on hotels and flights won’t be the cheapest during this time, but they’ll be a bit more affordable than during the summer rush.

If you’re looking for a budget getaway, visit Chicago during winter when hotel occupancy is low meaning prices are cheap.  Though the weather is cold and often snowy, this is a perfect time to travel if you’re interested in culture as museums and restaurants will be less congested, and theatre tickets will be easy to come by.
