During my trip to Bali, Ku De Ta beach club in Seminyak was at the top of my must-visit list. 

Stepping inside the club felt like being transported to a surreal paradise. The beautiful ocean view and soothing atmosphere were awe-inspiring. While lounging in one of their comfy beach lounge sets, I enjoyed a refreshing cocktail and the warmth of the sun on my skin.

The dining options were just as remarkable. With an open-plan setup, the restaurant offers a wide range of dining options, from delicious breakfast to informal or relaxed fine dining, all prepared with the freshest locally sourced ingredients.

Ku De Ta’s music program is what makes it truly unique. The international artists that perform throughout the year are phenomenal. The sunset sessions were my favorite, the soulful beats of their loungy soundtrack and the stunning sunset views made it a truly magical experience.

Ku De Ta is definitely one of the best beach clubs in the world, and I highly recommend visiting it to experience the ultimate beach club vibe while in Bali.

Ku De Ta’s extended opening hours make it perfect for any time of day in Bali. From 8 AM until late, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast, sip on cocktails, or dance the night away. 

The flexibility of the opening hours was a highlight for me during my stay in Seminyak.

Ku De Ta’s vibe is unforgettable, transporting you into a tropical paradise that effortlessly transforms into live music, dancing, lounging, and dining spot as the sun sets. 

The stunning setting with sweeping Indian Ocean views and fragrant ocean water is breathtaking and surreal. Watching the sunset while sipping cocktails or strolling down the beach were the highlights of my visit. Ku De Ta’s Balinese hospitality and diverse dining options are extraordinary.

When I walked into Ku De Ta, I didn’t know what to expect. However, as soon as I saw the lush, tropical surroundings, I knew that I was in for a treat. 

The food was outstanding, with an all-day dining menu that offered everything from small plates to jaw-dropping mains and stunning desserts. I loved how the cuisine was inspired by the island’s seasonal produce, which meant that every dish was fresh, flavourful, and sustainable.

Ku De Ta is not your average beach club. 

It’s a sophisticated and soulful destination that offers outstanding cuisine. I was blown away by the variety of dishes on offer, and the faultless presentation was truly remarkable. The restaurant is one of the most desired dining locations on the island, and it’s not hard to see why. 

With over 80 kitchen staff, including full-time butchers, bakers, and pastry chefs, the culinary creations are simply exceptional.

Executive Chef Jeremy Hunt leads the kitchen staff, using his agricultural upbringing as a compass for his creations. He emphasizes the importance of fresh, seasonal produce and believes in thoughtful and innovative pairings that respect and enhance chosen ingredients.

If you’re planning to visit Ku De Ta Bali for a dining experience, it’s good to know a few things beforehand. 

Here are some FAQs that might help you have a great time:

Reservation Time

Ku De Ta knows that time is precious, so they’ll hold your reservation for up to 15 minutes. It’s important to arrive on time as the table might be given to other diners if you’re a ‘no-show’ or arrive late. If you’re running late, just give them a call at +62 361 73 6969 to inform them.

Special Requests

Ku De Ta will try their best to accommodate your special requests, but it’s not always guaranteed. If you have any dietary requirements or special requests, just let them know before you arrive.

Dress Code

Ku De Ta has a dress code policy to keep things classy. During the day, neat and casual attire is allowed, but make sure to wear a shirt in all dining areas. For evening dining (after 4 pm), smart casual attire is required. No singlets, sports or surf-branded apparel, board shorts, or beer and alcohol-branded apparel are allowed at any time. If you’re wearing a singlet, don’t worry, Ku De Ta has t-shirts for you to borrow.

Right of Admission

Ku De Ta has the right to refuse entry, so it’s best to follow their dress code policy and any other requirements outlined by the establishment to avoid any disappointment.

How to Get There

Getting to Ku De Ta is easy, no matter where you’re coming from in Bali.

  • If you’re staying in Seminyak, the beach club is conveniently located on Jalan Kayu Aya, also known as “Eat Street.” You can easily walk, bike, or take a taxi to the venue from most hotels in the area.
  • If you’re staying in Kuta, Legian, or Canggu, you can expect a 15 to a 30-minute car or taxi ride, depending on traffic. The best time to travel is early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the roads are less busy.
  • If you’re coming from Ubud, expect a 45 to 60-minute drive, but the picturesque views along the way make it worth the journey. You can arrange a private driver or take a taxi from your hotel to Ku De Ta.

No matter where you’re coming from, I highly recommend making the trip to Ku De Ta for an unforgettable day or evening of beachfront dining, lounging, and entertainment.

Cost and Options

Ku De Ta is a haven of culinary experiences with a menu that will cater to different preferences, from small plates to sharing boards and entrees to desserts. 

The beach club offers a range of options for every budget, with prices that are reasonable for the quality of food and services. 

Expect to spend around $10 to $25 for a meal, which is quite affordable compared to other upscale restaurants in Bali.

If you’re a breakfast lover, their menu offers something for everyone, from light fruit plates to the hearty KU DE TA big breakfast

Their snacks and nibbles menu is perfect for those looking for small bites to enjoy with drinks, featuring must-try thin-cut fries with rosemary salt and tōgarashi mayo

For something more substantial, their small plates menu is ideal for sharing with friends or as an appetizer before your main course. 

Don’t miss out on their standout agedashi dōfu, crispy fried silken tofu with shoyu broth, or their jackfruit wonton tacos with apple bbq sauce

And for sushi and sashimi lovers, their menu boasts a range of dishes perfect for sharing, including the must-try tuna “on-fire” roll and the tropical ceviche roll with snapper, green mango, toasted coconut, and passion fruit sauce.

  • Watermelon Mint Martini: This delicious cocktail is made with Skyy Vodka, watermelon, mint, and lemon. The sweetness of the watermelon and the freshness of the mint make it a refreshing drink that’s perfect for cooling down on a hot Bali day.
  • Passion & Vanilla High Ball: For those who enjoy a fruity cocktail, the Passion & Vanilla High Ball is a great option. Made with Wild Turkey 81, vanilla, passionfruit, and citrus, this drink is a perfect combination of sweet and sour.

Classic

  • Margarita: This classic tequila-based cocktail is a favourite among many, and Ku De Ta does it justice. Made with El Jimador Reposado and triple sec, it’s the perfect drink to enjoy while watching the sunset.
  • Aperol Spritz: This light and refreshing cocktail is perfect for those who enjoy a drink that’s not too sweet. Made with Aperol, sparkling wine, soda, and orange, it’s the perfect drink to sip on while enjoying the beautiful Bali sunset.
