The Blue Lagoon is easy to get to in Ölüdeniz. And it’s near Fethiye so you can get a taxi, rent a scooter, or get a rented a car.

From Fethiye to Blue Lagoon it takes about 20-30 minutes. If you’re on a budget, then you can take the dolmuş (minibus) from Fethiye to Ölüdeniz. You will just to pay a small fee of five Turkish liras.

Swimming with Blue Lagon Turtles

Swimming with turtles at the blue lagoon. Okay, I’m going to be completely honest, I didn’t see a single turtle, and it’s possible you may not either. However, turtles enter the lagoon. Don’t worry if you don’t swim with turtles, there’s plenty of fish to snorkel with!

That reminds me.

Make sure you take your snorkelling kit, or at least some swimming goggles! I bought some at the Blue Lagoon restaurant and swam across to where the Oludeniz boat tours were docked need the rocky coastline about 100 metres out from the main lagoon beach.

Here’s the thing.

With the number of people that swim in the lagoon, you may not get the best opportunity to see turtles, but it’s worth a try, right? Check out Help Beach for a great place snorkelling!
