Benllech Beach in Anglesey

The wonderful sandy beach at Benllech is one of Anglesey’s top beaches and one of the best things to do in Anglesey. It has soft silky sand, shallow waters where kids can play safely in the sand and build sandcastles to their heart’s content. The beach at Benllech is a long one which makes for perfect walking. There’s a promenade that runs along the side of the beach and it’s here you’ll find people fishing or simply watching the world go by. Beach Walking on Benllech Beach

Stunning Benllech beach in the Anglesey region is a great destination for exploring on foot. As well as golden sand and rock pools for a treasure hunt, you’ll discover granite cliffs and coves to enjoy along the way. It’s an exciting prospect when you come across beach walking signs pointing out the best walking route to take around this picturesque bay. This 4 mile (6km) walk is best done from south-west to north-east, starting at Penrhyn Point.

We have walked this route a few times now and we really enjoy walking the lovely sandy beaches of Wales’ Anglesey. From the top of Benllech beach you can see out to the Menai straights and see Anglesey island in the distance.
